Am I the only one who finds Keanu’s acting in this cringey? These lines are ridiculous and the way he delivers them are just as silly. Love Keanu so much, and usually love his films, but this is the blandest acting I’ve seen him do. If I gotta hear him deliver another line as if he’s in a mafia soap opera… 😂

Why this scene is so good? It shows that the germans never were bloodlusted, violent demons. They also experienced fear, torturing, kidnapping, raping, getting murdered and also cared for there people, kids, parents, siblings, husband/wife, friends.. Beeing a sadistic soldier and being a soldier who follows orders and want better life for his familiy is a huge difference.

But the actual death from the book is more fkd up and sad, and meaningless, which made it more REAL... Kat sprains his ankle so paul carries him, and then a bomb goes off near them, and even tho theyre alright, Paul carries him all the way JUST to find out shrapnel went into Kats head when the bomb went off, so he was carrying his dead body the whole time without knowing 🤦🏾‍♂️
